MARCH/APRIL
The beginning of 2013 was exiting looking at our construction program, we were enthusiastic and expected to finish the main house.
When I returned from Germany in March this year, I was exited to seriously work on a couple of projects I needed to accomplish especially the small house which is used as a storeroom but later as a staff house, the Borehole and the main house. The first few months were exiting, we managed to raise one staff house from ground to roof. Thanks Tandeka team for making this possible.
JUNE/JULY
In June-July, we got two teams from South Africa one from Barn Christian Church and the other one from Global Challenge. The Barn Christian church were the first team who visited us and painted our small house. They wrote scriptures all around the walls of the house before painting it. The house was painted with a dark Moroccan Dakota paint which matches well with the earth colour. The Barn sponsored all the materials needed to paint this house.
During their 8 days visit, the Global Challenge team put glass panes in all the 7 windows of the house. Apart from fitting the glass panes, they also painted under coat inside the house. The Global team bought glasses and fitted them on all the windows making the house more habitable.
JULY/AUGUST
In these months, works progressed at the building site with the main building raised to ring beam. The Borehole drilling was successfully done. 93 meters deep with a metal casing going about 50meters deep, casing was necessary because our land is very sandy. The water we found is enough to supply to our future 5 houses, it takes 3hour to fill a 5000liters tank, which is good. We thank the sponsors Hope Builders who donated and installed the borehole at Kwathu Land.
We thank God for the development that has slowly taken place at Kwathu land. The water we prayed for such a long time is now there. In August we completed installing a tank stand right in the middle of the plot, a 5000 liters water tank, a submersible water pump with two 100meter pipes to supply water from the borehole to the tank and a fully automatic system to pump and monitor water level in the tank. All funded by Hope Builders. How awesome! Kwathu land will never be the same again.
NOVEMBER
We started making some blocks in November with the help of Tandeka e.V.
We thank our friends from Canada for their donation in kind towards the completion of the block work on the main house.
- We are still praying and hoping for US$17,000 for the roof at the main house.
- Pray for courage, Faith and understanding that we can accomplish the goals we set for Kwathu and that the Children can live, grow and mature in His daily goodness and loving kindness.
Behold, Children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb is a reward. Psalms 127:3.
Thank you Hope builders, Graceklein, Barn Christian Church, Global Challenge, Ubuntu, all friends and relative and most of all Tandeka e.V for your love, prayer, support and donations in kind.
God bless you all.
