Birthdays
We thank God for the month of April. His grace has been sufficient and He has seen us through this month. We thank God for adding yet another life to the following lovely people.
Papa Agrippa was the first to celebrate his birthday on the 12th. We thank God almighty for his life and the blessing he is to Kwathu. It was a fun filled birthday event. The boys composed and dedicated a song of appreciation to him, while the girls performed a dance routine.
Jane, Austin, Michael and Jerome combined their birthday celebration. It was all fun and games for the kids. There were water balloons, games and other fun activities. We wish all the little ones many more happy returns.
The Children
The kids were on a two week academic holiday. We had a number of activities lined up for them as they rested and waited for their second academic term.
MEMBERS OF STAFF:
A world without friendship is a world without sun.
The employees of the Kwathu Children’s Home spent the “day of work” yesterday as a day of friendship and love. Although we all come from different places and are not related, we are a big family. We are so proud of each of our employees and staff and we are so happy to have you on our team. You are the best!!
Donations
We would like to thank the following people for the donations they made towards Kwathu.
CHELO Made a donation towards 5 sewing machines benefiting the Tailoring project, a washing machine and a four plate cooker stove for the house, an office desk and two metal file cabinets for the Kwathu Head teacher and other assorted school supplies. We cannot thank you enough for the generous support towards the ministry.
MARIE, First of all we would like to welcome Marie back to Kwathu. This is her second visit and we really appreciate the time and effort made to come and serve the ministry. She and her friends raised some funds towards the school, and they were able to buy a number of assorted items for the school. They bought exercise books, text books, white board chalk etc. Thank you so much for the support.
Fundraising Events
Kwathu will be having a fundraising boat cruise on the Lady Livingstone on the 30th of June 2018. All proceeds are going towards the various projects Kwathu is running such as:
- Kwathu Home
- Feeding program
- Kwathu School
