HOME UPDATE
BIRTHDAYS – Three children celebrated their birthdays this month. Jane turned 9 years on April 12th, Austin turned 18 years on April 13th, and Michael turned 9 years on April 19th. It is always a blessing to see the children get older each year.
SCHOOLS –This month, the children wrote their end of term tests in readiness for closure on April 22nd, 2022. Gertrude and Eustus have been busy with college/University, and both are doing very well.
EASTER – Easter is a time to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus. As Kwathu, we always ensure to have a meal together to celebrate this day. A word about the meaning of Easter was shared and we later had a meal prepared by both staff and the children.
KWATHU SCHOOL REPORT
Kwathu Community School has continued to run well. This month the children wrote their end of term tests in readiness for closure on April 22nd, 2022.
The feeding program is on hold because we are still looking for people who can fund the program. It is a struggle to see most of our children coming to school without having a meal. The feeding program helps the students have more interest in coming to school, since most of them come from the less privileged families where they do not have usually have all the meals in a day. The feeding program at the school covers over 205 students.
