KWATHU HOME

BIRTHDAYS – In January, we celebrated Lucy and Purity’s birthdays. Lucy turned 16 on January 2nd, while Purity celebrated her 21st birthday on January 20th. The festivities were filled with enthusiasm as we marked these special milestones. It was a delightful moment witnessing Purity embark on her 21st year, pursuing her tertiary education in Hotel Management in Lusaka.

HOLIDAY ACTIVITIES – During the school holidays in January, we arranged various outdoor activities for the children to participate in. It was important for us to ensure that our children had a well-rounded experience by engaging in different types of activities, both indoors and outdoors. One of the outings included swimming and a variety of other enjoyable activities to create a memorable and enriching experience for the children.

KWATHU SCHOOL – Kwathu School commenced its academic activities on January 13th, 2025, marking the beginning of a new school term. The faculty diligently worked to integrate the updated curriculum into the school syllabus and initiate the teaching process. The students displayed enthusiasm as they arrived for the school day, filling the premises with a bustling energy.

CHILDREN’S PLAYPARK – The children’s play park was carefully designed and constructed with a primary focus on ensuring the safety of the children. The park now features various play equipment such as swings, sandboxes, and slides, all enclosed within a secure fence. The children, including those from the school and Kwathu home, expressed great excitement and joy upon returning to the park to play and have fun.

COMMUNITY FEEDING PROGRAM – The community feeding program was restarted in January with a renewed focus. Currently, we are cooking and providing meals for 17 households every Friday, comprising a total of 85 individuals. Our goal remains steadfast – to ensure the well-being of our community members by offering support and sustenance. It is our mission to share our blessings and give back to those in need, reflecting the values of kindness and compassion instilled by our beliefs.

– We thank the Lord for blessing Kwathu School with needed resources for
the year 2025. We truly appreciate His provision.
– We express gratitude to God Almighty for the abundant rains that have
watered the land this year, bringing blessings to the entire country.
– We Give thanks to God for granting us the strength and energy to carry
out His work and serve His people with dedication and love.
– Praise the Lord for His abundant provision of resources for the community
feeding program, enabling us to share His blessings with those in need.
