FEBRUARY 2023 UPDATE - Kwathu Ministries

BIRTHDAYS – This month we celebrated Rozaria’s 17th birthday on 1st February 2023. She has grown into a humble and cheerful teenager and keen to learn more.

SCHOOLS – The month of February was full of activities for Kwathu kids as it is the first term of the year. It was a month of putting things in order. Not only that but it was also a month that is used to select and identify those pupils who are good in sports. So, the school had its own inter school competition in sports. Grade seven also made their selects about their preferred secondary schools of their choice. On a lighter moment, the school had its own midterm break.

KWATHU SCHOOL REPORT – Lessons were conducted well in the month of February, with activities in the afternoon such as reading, clubs, sports and preventive maintenance. The learners had their midterm break starting from February 20th to 24th and came back to school on 27th February. Lessons continued as usual.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH – In the month of February we visited some of the families in the community and we blessed them with clothes, shoes, sugar, eggs, washing powder and salt.

GETRUDE MUSIPILI – Gertrude Musipili is our daughter who is doing teaching practice at Hermann Gmeiner primary and secondary school. This is an integral component of teacher training. Teaching practice grants student teachers experience in the actual teaching and learning environment. We continue to pray for Gods favor upon her life and in her career as a teacher.

CLINIC PROJECT – The health professional council of Zambia advised us to insulate the inside of the clinic with particle wooden boards. We spend the month of February working on the inside.

KWATHU FARM – The month of February saw us harvest the fish at the farm. Below are pictures of harvested fish.

KEEPING KWATHU CLEAN CAMPAIGN – This is an ongoing campaign to make sure that our places of work and surroundings are very clean. This campaign is done by all staff member the last week of every month.
