Kwathu Ministries hosts a weekly Arts Club where approximately 40 community children come to show case their skills in painting and drawing. We use visual Christian Art to reach out and also explain and share the word of God to the children. It is encouraging to see the children enjoying and responding to the program, and we give God all the Glory. Our main ideal of the Arts Clubs is to enhance our levels of interaction in our community, and help children realize their talents and giftings in art.
With the ideal of reaching out and interacting with our community, Kwathu introduced an “Art and Creativity Day” involving the Kwathu children and the children from the surrounding community. The Kwathu children use scriptural drawings as a mode to teach fellow children who later copy these drawings on their paper, creating their own scripture art work.
