AUGUST 2023 UPDATE - Kwathu Ministries

Birthdays – This month of August we celebrated Edward’s Birthday. Everyone in the house participated in making it happy and joyful for him. His birthday was on the 15th of August and he turned 9 years old.

SCHOOLS – Schools are still closed and they will open in September. The Children have been attending extra lessons and doing their homework/assignments to keep them busy and prepared for the new term coming. Some of our children at the home went to bond with their relatives.

EXTRA ACTIVITY – This month we took our toddlers out on an educational tour at the Livingstone international Airport. When kids are little, they want to be firefighters, Pilots, teachers, and doctors. In reality, only a few actually find themselves in these professions. Hands-on learning in new places exposes kids to professions they may not have considered and shows them new ways to apply their interests and education.

HEALTH – Everyone is enjoying good health, only a few children experienced normal allergies, but they are okay and have fully recovered.

Visitations – We welcomed relatives to the children who came to pick them up for holidays. We have six children who have gone for holidays, and they will return once schools open in September.

KWATHU SCHOOL REPORT – In the month of August Kwathu School has had no activities that have been happening. Since the closure of schools. We are still praying and believing that God will bring sponsors for the school. The new term is scheduled to open next week.

KWATHU FARM – In this month, we finally finished harvesting the fish from one of our ponds. It was a long and tiring process, but we’re proud of what we accomplished. And guess what? We’re already excited for the next harvest!
