June 2019 Newsletter

Message of the Month

We are already half way 2019 and we can only be grateful to the almighty God for His sufficient grace that has seen us through this far. The past 6 months has been a period of adjustments and stability. We can confidently say we have achieved half of our year’s objective and we are yet to see full achievement of our outlined objectives for 2019.

Activities

Kwathu School: It has been an exciting term for us. Our grade 7’s are getting ready to sit for their mock examinations in readiness for their final exams next term. We keep them in prayer as this is our first group of pupils sitting for an exam prepared by the Examination Council of Zambia. All other grades are having a smooth run of lessons.

Our students have continued to prepare and train for next month’s athletics competition with other private schools within Livingstone. We are hopeful that they emerge as winners.

Volunteers

Global Challenge:

On the 19th of June, we received 11 team members from Global Challenge Expedition South Africa. The team was so energetic in executing their tasks and were always offering a helping hand.

The guys were on top of their game doing some construction work while the ladies were busy with house chores, preparing meals at the feeding program and classroom assistance at Kwathu Community School.

Despite their short stay, they indeed made an impact on our Ministry through their kindness, love and devotion to serve. May God bless you all.

Their Testimony.

Update from 3 Nations Africa

Country number 1

Zambia:
Wow, what a special place. A country filled with so much love, joy, peace and love for God. We were welcomed in the Kwathu orphanage home, where we were greeted by the cutest smiles, hugs and songs of praise. Serving at the orphanage has been amazing! So many blessing have come our way and we have certainly learned to give and receive so many gifts from the joyful Zambians. We have been kept very busy by helping cook food, wash clothes, teach the kids, constructing buildings and spreading love and the word of God at every opportunity. Serving these amazing people of Kwathu has been such a blessing and will be very sad to leave after forming so many good friendships. The constant devotional readings, powerful prayers and serving of God in everything that they do is key to devoting their lives to God.

Projects

For some time now, our prayer was to have a counselling room that we could use during counselling sessions. Not long after, we decided to turn part of the garage into a counselling and store room. Peter and the Global Challenge team did a great job partitioning the garage with particle boards to make two rooms that will be used as a counselling room and the other as a store room. We are still believing God for more resources to complete the construction.

Donations

The Gibiino family came through for us this month with a donation of warm clothing for the children. It was a timely donation because this winter season was cold. We thank them for their continued support.
